SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION IN PATIENTS WITH INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE

Abstract INTRODUCTION Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is likely to have an impact on sexual function because of its symptoms like diarrhea, fatigue and abdominal pain. The the sexuality intimacy one main concerns IBD patients but there still limited data (SD) erectile dysfunction (ED) determinants in IBD. AIM OF THE STUDY This study aimed evaluate search for predictors among with during biological treatment. METHODS was a prospective, center enrolled cohort 135 Crohn’s (CD) ulcerative colitis (UC) treated treatment basis same inclusion criteria (CDAI>300 CD, Total Mayo score>6 CU). All were invited fill anonymous validated questionnaire their function: Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) or International Erectile Function-5 (IIEF-5) question about how problem activity last 2 weeks from Bowel Disease Questionnaire (IBDQ). RESULTS Both groups (CD CU) considered anti -TNF alfa agents. GKS more frequent females (24/68, 35%) than males (12/67, 18%), p = 0.037. CONCLUSIONS According our ED mainly associated psychological factors, severity had no effect them. type medication used treat underlying has development dysfunction.
